Each player (detective) tries to solve the crime from clues shown in the crime scene and from evidence already gathered from each background story. Obvious clues and suspects -- yes. Ah, but there are hidden clues as well. 

Players openly discuss each mystery as they study the scene if the crime. Are they being honest or bluffing to conceal their own findings and hunches? Only the cleverest of sleuths will know and able to solve the crime.
